PORTABLE GAS BBQ FOR CAMPING

Choosing Portable Gas Grills - What to Look For?
You have been to the store or online and looked at dozens of grills, but may not be sure what to look for. Here are some tips of what to look out for when buying a portable gas grill.
Price.
You get just what you have paid for! Prices range for a decent gas grill, between $150 and $300. When you compare the prices make sure you find out whether the grill has a propane tank included. This can add as much as $20 to $30 to the cost if you have to buy one separately.
Material.
The main body of grills is usually constructed of cast iron, stainless steel or aluminium. If you want a stainless-steel model watch out for the rest of the grill as this can quite often be made of just steel and painted which can of course rust. The truth of the matter however is that aluminium will mostly outdo - in terms of durability and time any of the stainless-steel models.
Heat.
The heat of a grill is part of the BTU rating. This amounts to the heat that is created by the burner within the model. If the grill has a high rating it does not necessarily mean it produces more heat. This rating describes how well it holds and distributes heat. If the grill is small then it will produce a higher cooking temperature.
Durability.
The quality of its parts and the thickness of its metal are the factors involved in how long your portable grill will last. Looking after it is also of importance. The best of grills will suffer much damage if left uncleaned and uncovered. The better grills will have a longer lifespan, but if kept covered after use, even a cheap grill can last for a long time.
When looking for a portable gas grill, if you want to separate the good from the bad, always look for a brand-named version, rather than a store brand. And remember the gas bottle, it can add much cost to the gas grill.
